Rowan's Luxury Handmade Soaps
Our soaps are made in small batches in our dedicated workshop in the heart of the Blackdown Hills in Devon.
All our soaps are made with natural ethical ingredients that are vegan, palm oil and paraben free. And are wrapped in paper so are completely plastic free.
Natural clays have been chosen for their benefits to the skin and their nourishing effects.
Scented with essential oils and made with natural oils and butters they are beautiful to look at, gorgeous to smell and lovely to use, leaving you feeling refreshed, clean, luxurious and guilt free.
In order to sell soaps in the UK legally, it is necessary to have all your recipes fully tested and certified by a registered and fully approved chemist, to ensure your soaps are safe for human use as a wash on wash off product. It is then required to submit your recipes to the government cosmetics portal.
Once this procedure has been performed correctly, it is then possible to become a member of the Guild of Craft Soap & Toiletry Makers.
Any soap maker who can not produce a certificate should not be trusted as their recipes may not of been tested by a chemist.
We are fully tested, approved and members of the guild!
Our soaps are made in small batches in our dedicated soaping workshop, using the Cold Process method. Which involves mixing all the melted oils, butters together, adding the lye, colourants and essential oils then putting into a mould swirling the colours to create beautiful soaps, then left for 24 hours to soaponify, before cutting into bars and then leaving to cure for 6 weeks.

"I love Tammy's soaps, they make my skin feel so soft. I love the story behind why she started making them. I love that they are palm oil and plastic free. I love them, I won't be using anything else now."
"I like how not all the soaps are for women and there are some for men too, not everyone wants to smell of roses! The patterns in the soap are really good and I love the Isle of Avalon being a big Glastonbury fan."
